Physique Update!

Hi there all! So instead of posting a long blog post today is just about a physique update. I am on week 4 of 24 weeks of German Volume Training. I haven't exactly been monitoring my measurements so I took some this week to be safe- so I can track any progress. Current Weight: Hovering around 150 lbs. Height: 5 ft. 4 inches Chest: 39 1/2 or 40 inches Waist: 29 1/2 inches Hips: 40 inches I haven't done any individualized measurements like biceps or quads or anything....so here have some pictures instead! Being Tough is Tough.

All my life all I have ever wanted to be was strong. Strong mentally, emotionally, especially physically. I wanted people to look at me with a mix of awe and trepidation. Strength is an important quality to me- it isn't the be all end all- but it is high on my priority list. Something I never really realized is....being strong- being tough-----fucking sucks. Cause there are so many different definitions of strength, so many different measures you can make. Not only that, but once you achieve a certain level of toughness people expect you to be that all the time...it is like being the world heavy weight champion in boxing. Once you get to that level you spend the rest of your life fighting to keep it. Let me say that again for those of you following along....ONCE YOU GET TO THAT LEVEL YOU SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE FIGHTING TO KEEP IT! New Year New Style Of Training

Hi there all! After my first GVT session!  So the new year is here and I have a new attitude and a new training style to go with it. My friend and erstwhile trainer Logan was on hand to help me figure out what I really want out of my training and help me set some reasonable goals. It is so nice to have someone ask you the tough questions and to really be there for you. He suggested I try German Volume Training- if you don't know what that is a quick Google search can help you out. This combined with eating +250 cals over my maintenance eating per day is hopefully in 6 months going to result in putting on 5 to 6 lbs by June. This long, slow "bulking" phase is also going to help me increase my over all strength as I give power lifting a back seat. Don't worry, I am still going to be a #chickwholifts just one who is following a different program. For an example this is what I did today: 10 x 10 of bench press at 30 lbs (could have used more weight, but since it w
